I love dance, it’s too bad I am so terrible at it. When it comes to dance I am all left feet, but watching others move their bodies to a rhythmic beat is something I just can’t look away from, especially when it’s artistic in nature.
What really intrigues me is belly dancing and tribal dances from all over the world. I love it because of how the movement of the body flows and tells a story. It’s more than just sexual or entertaining… it’s soul shattering beauty at it’s best.
Recently I was asked to film and edit a music video for a original piece of tribal music that is set to tell the story of Lilith. It’s comprised of a variety of amazingly talented dancers who act out the life of Lilith.
I am so excited that I can be a part of this amazing creative venture. I got to learn so much so far and I look forward to see where it leads me.
In a nutshell, the story of Lilith is a Christian based story from Adam and Eve – essentially she was the first Eve. She was supposed to bow down to Adam and be his sexual muse – but she decided not to follow or obey Adam – thus banishing her from his side. In the process of being abused and neglected she becomes a demon and lived her life in turmoil. This is a great read on it
Editing has started and I anticipate the video to be complete in the next few weeks, hopefully by September 2016.
